Creativity Can Launch Your Dreams, Resolutions And Goals!

Each one of us is capable of ‘imagining’ - weaving creative moments in which we craft art, writing, a fabulous home, lovely garden, successful work proposal, a joyous family life, an exceptional college term paper, a song. The creative process, and its products, is endless, unique to its creators. We all have opportunities to create things big and small if we courageously open ourselves to the process and are willing to explore dreams and abilities. If we’re willing to follow our passions, if we’re willing to ‘try’, to give it a shot, to let our hair down just a bit - each one of us is capable of doing great things.

Anger In Sports: Aggressiveness Gone Bad

In sports, some degree of aggressiveness is vital. Don’t get me wrong, when I use the word aggressive I am referring to that fierce, tenacious spirit that builds true winners. It is the kind of spirit that allows the sports person to fail and reenergize to succeed at the next try. It is the kind of aggression that sees opportunities and seizes them to clutch victory over and over again. This kind of aggressiveness is in my mind a hallmark of sportsmanship.

Marie Diamond Uses Feng Shui To Master The Secret

The more I devote my time into finding out what makes the individuals featured in the monster hit of the year The Secret tick, the more I see what an eclectic mix of personalities they all are. Marie Diamond is no exception.

She originates from Belgium and as she tells it she first started applying “The Law of Attraction” at the age of 7 through the pictures she would draw. As the story goes her father and brother had what could be best described as a “Falling Out” with one another after her brother ran off and married without first informing the family. She loved her brother very much but he dropped out of her life entirely after his dispute with their father. She thought of him often and longed to see him again. Months went by without a word but she kept thinking of him just the same.

Whatever You Concentrate On Becomes Your Reality: The Power Of Focus

To concentration upon something, whether real or imagined, is to focus on it. To focus on something is to attend to it or simply put, to pay intense attention to it. You and I if we wanted to could get sad at a moments notice, couldn’t we? Yes we could and we can do this just by concentrating on something we may have experienced in our past that made us sad. If you focus on something enough, picture it and think about it soon you will begin to feel it. The same is true for things that have not happened yet.

I Resign As Queen Of The Universe

I am a firm believer that everyone needs to have a sense of humor about themselves. I am the first to admit that (at times) I take life WAY too seriously, and I think that’s probably true about many people. My kids need me, my mother needs me, my sister, my friends, my bills, my personal development, my housework, my personal hygiene, my cat, the kids’ schoolwork, the plants…admit it, some days it gets to be overwhelming and you don’t know how much more you can handle.

So You Want To Be Happier?

Everyone wants to be happier. Then why are so few people really truly happy? Our thoughts trip us up. Our negative thoughts.

Yep, those pesky little negative thoughts we put so much store in. What is real? What isn’t real? Well, our thoughts are quick to tell us what’s real, whether it really is or not. And because we thought those thoughts, then they’re real, right?

Finding Spirituality Within

People in recovery who are successfully working the Twelve Steps know that AA is a spiritual program. At first some people in search of sobriety in recovery are turned off when they are told spirituality is the very foundation of AA and the Twelve Steps. Spirituality is often equated with religion, but spirituality is more than that and goes deeper; it is the foundation for a religious tradition. Religion, according to Webster, is “the acknowledgment of a Divine Being and a systematic manifestation in worship, ritual and conduct.”

Effectively Managing My Workload Or What The Heck Did I Accomplish Today Anyway

In an era of doing more with less, why do I feel like I have accomplished nothing at the end of the day? How can I manage my workload and see that I have accomplished something? And how do I find the time to do it?

I was a serious doubting Thomas when my company sent me to a big name time-management training course a while ago. I was pretty sure I had control of my work life. But one of the things I actually DID learn was prioritizing my day. So now 20 years later with a larger workload than ever, I am still doing it. I personally have a planner with a calendar; it’s not required but works for me.
