I attended a conference called the Brain Institute in Albuquerque, NM. Dr. Baird was one of the keynote speakers. I’ve condensed her information so that it is enjoyable and understandable. Dr. Abigail Baird Ph.D. is a developmental neuroscientist at Vassar College where she is Assistant Professor and Director of the Laboratory for Adolescent Studies in the Department of Psychology.

Hello again EEW ladies! There’s lots going on in my world right now, but I won’t bore you with the litany of things I could stand to vent about. Rather, I’ll focus in on one issue in particular.

Well . . . I am in the middle of major negotiations for a few upcoming projects. Anyway, one offer in particular, is very attractive. And I must admit, I am enthusiastic about the prospects. However, I ran into a slight problem while fleshing out the details. I noticed a few things about the deal that were a little disarming. Now, obviously, I could’ve looked the other way. Especially in light of the fact that we’re not talking about chump change here. But I elected to do something different.

The Swarm may not be a title that will attract many to this book.
I must admit that I picked it up a few times in the book shop before I decided to head back
one day and give it a go. I think that the main thing that put me off is that it is based in the
sea and is over 880 pages long!

Well I’m rather pleased that I picked it up one day and started reading.
The Swarm in a nutshell: Something is happening in the oceans. Ships are sinking, people
are going missing and the sea creatures and mammals are starting to attack!

The northern region of India holds pride in producing the Chikan, Benarasi, Tanchoi, Shalu sari. The multicultural city of Lucknow in India has been known for its tasteful passion for culture, music, poetry, a mouth-watering cuisine and yes - fashion. Chikan is a term commonly used in Lucknow and has been passed down the ages right from when the Moghul dynasty ruled.

Chikan, is a traditional embroidery style from Lucknow. Literally translated, the word means embroidery. Believed to have been introduced by Nur Jahan, Moghul emperor Jahangir’s wife, it is one of Lucknow’s most famous textile decoration styles.
