Narada And The Illusion Of Maya

Sage Narada was a Maharishi, a renowned teacher, inspirer of poets, counselor of kings, a divine messenger, and also a notorious ‘mischief-maker’. The word ‘Nara’ means knowledge useful to mankind and ‘Da’ means ‘a giver’. So ‘Narada’ means the one who gives knowledge to mankind and imparts right guidance.

Narada with a knotted tuft of hair in the center of an otherwise clean-shaven scalp, usually makes his characteristic entry with a Veena (a stringed musical instrument) in his hand and the name of Lord Narayana on his lips: “Narayana, Narayana”!

I Resign As Queen Of The Universe

I am a firm believer that everyone needs to have a sense of humor about themselves. I am the first to admit that (at times) I take life WAY too seriously, and I think that’s probably true about many people. My kids need me, my mother needs me, my sister, my friends, my bills, my personal development, my housework, my personal hygiene, my cat, the kids’ schoolwork, the plants…admit it, some days it gets to be overwhelming and you don’t know how much more you can handle.

Central Florida Real Estate Appraiser - Creating & Assessing Value

As a longtime real estate property appraiser and builder in Central Florida, I learned long ago the essentials for creating and assessing value. Whether you are a buyer or seller, these values will strongly effect you at some point in time during the market transactions. 1. Desire
2. Utility
3. Scarcity
4. Effective Purchasing Power

Discover How Baby Boomers Can Make An Impact

Baby boomers are an interesting group. You are a baby boomer if you were born between the years of 1946 and 1964. There were approximately 76 million baby boomers born in the United States alone during those years.

What is one of the things that makes this group so interesting? Currently, the first baby boomers are at the traditional age of retirement. The later baby boomers, which I am a part of, are at the traditional age of midlife. Both groups are at a point in time where they are evaluating their lives and considering what they will do in the future. Both groups want to lead a life that is full of meaning and purpose.

Agreeing To Part - The Uncontested Divorce

This is fast becoming the major trend in the UK. It is on the rise in the USA too, but not to the extent it is in this country. The picture is mixed in Europe, France being the country with the largest number of couples fighting their way to a highly contested court case and emotionally charged divorces. Does this mean that the British people are surpassing examples of matured and calm understanding when it comes to divorce? Not necessarily, but it does mean that law cases costs a fair bit here, and few are in the position to afford it. Uncontested divorces have become so very popular precisely because the very areas of conflict that are causing the divorce had been resolved as far as possible between the partners before they came to the court. When the areas of conflict are eliminated, there remains little left to do except finish the paperwork and formalities.

Leaning To Run Faster

With the domination of Kenyan athletes this century in road racing and track and field there must be something that they all do. At first glance nothing really stands out besides the fact that they just run really fast. After closer examination a glaring difference in the running form can be identified. They lean forward, and let gravity work for them. I wonder if this is from running up all those mountains in Kenya. Or maybe the lean is caused by running back down the mountain. However the Kenyans come about this lean, it really works.
