Scoreboards, Scoring Tables, Wallpadding - Not In Your School Or Leagues Budget?
What’s the catch? Well first and foremost, there is NO catch. Alternatives to “paying” for badly needed sports equipment are abound. Expensive scoreboards from ANY manufacturer, customed designed scoring tables, wall padding and even ball washers can be obtained without any out of pocket expense to your town league or venue. Additionally you can raise revenue- quite a bit of revenue without much effort on your part. Because I do this for a living I may sway towards the ease with this.
Ok lets begin.
Booster Clubs- A GREAT source of raising capitol, if you have a pro-active club, primarily built on parents and community members who do a great job in raising funds through various programs. Unfortunately as a volunteer group, time restraints make it difficult to raise the big bucks for big ventures. I have found many Booster clubs to be a tremendous asset and those people that volunteer their time and effort should be highly commended. Equally many PTO’s /PTA’s are equally as valuable, and I communicate with both sources regularly when I am involved in a project.
Donated Equipment- Although this doesn’t happen as often as we would think, it does happen. On occasion a local business will purchase equipment, but as we all know it is really a shakey ecconomy, businesses as with schools are also under the financial pressures that we are all facing. It is much easier for a business to afford a small portion of the burden, especially on an expensive scoreboard project.
With the latest federal mandates, certain companies are no longer permitted to showcase their products at schools. We are offering our children healthy alternatives for snacks and drinks.
Every potential sponsor for a project should be deemed appropriate. I really do not need to explain that as we all know what is best for our children.
Ok those are just a few alternatives in securing what is needed for your school or league.
NOW TO YOU POTENTIAL SPONSORS! Besides for helping obtain the equipment, You get to showcase your company on the equipment for a period of time. You have the opportunity to be the exclusive company for your Industry!
In most cases other perks are given, such as “sponsor thank you” presentations. More on sponsoring in a future article, or just email me from my website.
I would be happy to discuss your needs.
Visit my website, www.boneymaroney.com to see examples of recent projects I obtained for schools and leagues and how I can help you do the same!
I give sports equipment to schools, leagues and towns at no charge, by offering the opportunity of becoming a sponsor on the projects to local, regional and national advertisers and businesses.
I work by referrals for 85% of my sponsors, and secure the equipment thru the various equipment companies. A scoreboard, for instance can come from any manufacturer the client chooses.
