The Winning Interview Skill And How To Get It

They say, “Your attitude determines your altitude”. Carry loads of positive attitude with you. Almost everybody can do any given job at the entry level. “Attitude” is a real tool that helps to differentiate the successful candidate from the rest.

Talent may be extensively found in companies, but people with a ‘can do’ or ‘must do’ attitude are rare. This makes attitude such an important determinant in job interviews. Ask any manager whom would they trust and count on in any difficult situation. You would most often find the person with the “can do” attitude selected than an over rated team member. At the end of any grueling interview session, it is your attitude that wins. Your sincere and committed approach to put forth your best effort gets noticed. You are likely to be chosen if you exhibit commitment and dedication to fulfilling the company’s needs and by being focused on it 100%.

Is Your Pride Costing You Money?

Have you ever let pride sabotage your career? “Robert,” was a successful TV news anchor who worked in a good-sized TV market. Robert had the classic anchor looks as well as deep booming voice. But he was frustrated that he was unable to move up a better job, which would involve working in a larger city for a much larger paycheck.

Robert’s problem was that he didn’t work much on the craft of anchoring. His delivery could be a bit flat and robotic. Imagine how someone with a good voice would sound reading something dull like a phone book. Robert was good at his job but not great enough to go to the next level.
