Efficient Obesity - How Labor Saving Conveniences Make You Fat And How To Move More To Live Longer

Frequently overweight people are very efficient. They don’t move their bodies very much or very fast. This supports a low metabolism that in turn supports being overweight. This efficiency is frequently caused by the many labor saving devices we have at our disposal.

Just think of how many items you have in your household that support non-movement of your body. Television remote controls and electric garage door openers are good examples. Think of ways you use appliances in your home to keep from moving your body. To put this in perspective, compare your many conveniences to the few your parents and their parents had.

Nutrition - Desserts

Eating a healthy dessert doesn’t have to break the bank. While it’s true that Twinkies and Ding-Dongs do cost less (in dollars) than quality healthy foods, the cost to our health is truly frightening!

Follow these tips for low-cost healthy desserts:

1) Try fruit! Full of natural sugars, and naturally fat free, fruit is a great dessert choice! Fresh kiwi, apples, pears, plums and oranges can all be found for about 50 cents per serving.

2) Fat-free pudding costs only 79 cents per box and is quite low in calories!

4 Tips On How To Not Quit Your Next Exercise Program

The sad part is that exercise is actually easier than most people imagine it to be. It’s more fun too! I’ll talk more on that at the end of this article. In the meantime, the problem is, that when most people begin an exercise program, they seem predestined, in most cases, to fail.

The reasons for this are simple, but they are still strong enough to turn most people off from exercise after only a short time on the program. However, as with many other things, knowing what to expect and what the pitfalls are is a good way to avoid falling off the exercise wagon With that in mind, let’s take a quick look at a few things that tend to nip exercise programs in the bud.

Mini Trampoline - Choosing The Best Small-size Trampoline

For an easy and fun way to lose weight and keep fit, why don’t you try using a mini trampoline? Jump you excess weight away!

Mini what?

Mini trampolines are flat surfaces that are raised a few inches above the floor designed to propel a person high into the air. Where Does Your Time Go?

Like all of us, I just experienced a week that seemed to fly by, and I wondered “what did I DO all week?”. I’m feeling a bit behind the 8 ball. So I reviewed my past week to see how I actually spent my time. I had some surprises. Try it yourself.

Categorize in broad categories all your past week’s activities. As an example my categories were:

1. Domestic stuff (cooking, cleaning, gardening, any home projects)

2. Self-care (exercise, maintaining wardrobe, anything that makes me feel and look better)?

3. Work (I divided it up into marketing, organizing or coaching clients, learning, and administrative)
