Mean Girls + The Teen Brain & Decision Making!

I attended a conference called the Brain Institute in Albuquerque, NM. Dr. Baird was one of the keynote speakers. I’ve condensed her information so that it is enjoyable and understandable. Dr. Abigail Baird Ph.D. is a developmental neuroscientist at Vassar College where she is Assistant Professor and Director of the Laboratory for Adolescent Studies in the Department of Psychology.

This will be a bit complex, but really is fascinating if you will follow along. So, here we go.

Monopoly - The Board Game

Monopoly is a real-estate trading game for two to eight players. Players move their piece around a board by rolling dice, the board being divided into various properties and special squares.

Players can acquire the properties, and once they have a set of related properties, improve them with houses or a hotel. When a player lands on another player’s property, a rent is charged, the amount of rent being based on the whether the owner owns the whole set of related properties, whether the property has been improved with houses or a hotel, etc. Players can also sell properties to each other, and an important part of the game is striking such deals with other players.

Tips For Finding Cheap Health Insurance Coverage

Are you in need of a cheap health insurance policy for yourself or your family? If so, your best bet is to start your search by getting several free health insurance quotes and then comparing the costs and the coverage provided. Once you’ve gotten your free quotes you’ll want to contact a few of these companies directly for more information.

There’s something about the phrase “cheap health insurance” that bothers me a little bit. Rather than say “cheap”, I’d prefer to say, affordable, inexpensive, low cost or something along those lines. Somehow by saying that something is cheap it could very easily be perceived as low quality. Anyway, in the area of health insurance you won’t find many cheap policies anyway, though some will be more affordable than others.

Laughter Is Truly The Best Medicine

If there’s one thing I have to admit about my mother is that she was always right about this: Laughter Is The Best Medicine.

If you can’t laugh about yourself and the things that happen to you - you’re headed for a heart attack or some other malady, it’s the way the body works. Laughter lightens the moment and strips away the seriousness that many of us approach life with; it releases the pain and chases away your personal rainstorms leaving a bright sunshiny day.

Scientists have also discovered that laughter strengthens your immune system and increases your cardiovascular flexibility (your blood vessels exercise through dilation).

Hello Kitty Party Menu With Plenty Of Pink And Red

The Hello Kitty phenomena started in Japan with those lovable little kitty dolls. Soon they were on everything from buttons to having a Hello Kitty Cartoon on the television. Now your child wants a Hello Kitty party! Well you can certainly find everything you need, including a great party menu!

The Hello Kitty party menu is pink, pink, pink and red! Make up some tasty Strawberry Shortcake for your guests to nibble on. Mix together a fun Hello Kitty Tickled Pink Punch for them to drink. For the main course? Why you are serving up some stuffed red peppers for those sassy guests looking for something spicy to try at the party. Of course, a pink dessert is in order. Think Strawberry or Cherry flavored ice cream with some whipped cream and red sprinkles.
