Converse Ad

The new Converse ad reads:

“Conscience Requi(red)
Do not wait for other people
to change the world
The time is now. Do something.”

Although meant as a campaign to help Aids in Africa, it could also be taken as a call to save the Earth. What am I doing right now, to help? How much of my time, am I actually devoting to the environmental cause? How much of my time, am I spending in activities that make matters worse? How much of me is waiting for others to solve the problem? How loud is my green conscience? These are all questions, worthy of being answered. Illusion, laziness, and complacency tend to make me lose sight of the bigger picture, in my day to day life.

Flexing Solar Panels

Large, bulky fixed structures are what most people think of when it comes to solar panels. These days, small flexible solar panels are readily available for powering all typos of electronics.

A portable, flexing solar power system can be a right way to become familiar with solar power use for those who may not be ready or financially able to invest in larger solar power systems. Flexing solar panels, otherwise known as portable solar panels, convert the sun’s ray directly into 12volt electricity. This makes it ideal technology for charging portable electronics and jump-starting your vehicles’ batteries. These products generally have positive reviews, but it is difficult to outline typical performance parameters because performance is wholly based on weather and climate. The models come in powers ranging from 5 watts to 60 watts.

Green Painting - Environmentally Friendly Painting Tips

Take extra measures to ensure your painting project is an environmentally safe experience. The best quality acrylic paints are products that contain low or no volatile organic compounds (otherwise known as VOCs). These products reduce the emissions of VOCs into the home which improves indoor air quality and reduces urban smog. Check the labels on the cans for LEED certification to ensure you are using a low VOC product. LEED certified products are considered “green” or “environmentally-friendly.”

Following are tips for “green” painting:

Use all the paint.
