How can I be a great Team Leader?

The foundation of all Leadership is Accountability, ‘the willingness to make commitments and hold oneself to account for them, regardless of the circumstances’. There are two aspects to the definition: your willingness to make binding commitments for yourself, and your relationship with the circumstances that surround you.

All organisations need great team leaders; no leadership, no great organisation. Over the next three articles I will be answering the question, “How can I be a great team leader, and how can I produce leadership in others?” I will explore key aspects of Leadership as well as giving you tips for getting started and exercises you can do to build your, and others’, skill in every area of Leadership.

Ten Reasons For Offshore Outsourcing In India

There is a reason that offshore outsourcing in India is so popular: it works. Here are a few reasons why:

1. India is the second fastest growing major economy in the world with a GDP (Gross Domestic Product) growth rate of 9.2% at the end of the second quarter of 2006–2007 (source: Wikipedia).

2. India has a stable, peaceful government that has a history of over 60 years of democracy; this stable environment provides a low risk outsourcing opportunity when compared to other foreign markets.

Be A Fashion Moghul - Wear A Chikan Sari

The northern region of India holds pride in producing the Chikan, Benarasi, Tanchoi, Shalu sari. The multicultural city of Lucknow in India has been known for its tasteful passion for culture, music, poetry, a mouth-watering cuisine and yes - fashion. Chikan is a term commonly used in Lucknow and has been passed down the ages right from when the Moghul dynasty ruled.

Chikan, is a traditional embroidery style from Lucknow. Literally translated, the word means embroidery. Believed to have been introduced by Nur Jahan, Moghul emperor Jahangir’s wife, it is one of Lucknow’s most famous textile decoration styles.
