Biometric Passport - Twenty-first Century Passport Security

A biometric passport is a combination of a paper and electronic identity document that used to authenticate the citizenship of travelers. The biometric passport is valid for 5 years for first time applicants, compared to 10 years passports without biometric features. The biometric passport is planned to have digital imaging and fingerprint biometrics placed on the radio frequency identification chip. Download An Ebook And Start Reading Instantly

I have always loved to read.

As a young child I could often be found curled up in the corner reading Enid Blyton immersed in the mysteries of the Magic Faraway Tree, which always seemed more exciting than the tree house in our backyard. As I grew up I progressed through all the murder mysteries, Stephen King thrillers and of course some text books. And then, of course, there was university piles and piles of textbooks to absorb on topics like psychology, law and criminology and a few accounting books (but numbers, to me, don’t really count).

Ten Innovation Trends At Stanford Media X- Robotics, Aging, Clean Tech, Brain, Gaming, Science, More

The goal of Stanford University Media X is to foster collaborations between industry and academia. The 5th Annual Media X Conference on Research, Collaboration, Innovation and Productivity, which I was fortunate to attend, served its purpose well. Let me share the 10 Key Trends that every business executive and innovator should be paying attention to:

It usually takes 20 years science basic science exists until applications reach inflection point and take the world by storm-and we are about to see that happen. Some indicators: DARPA sponsored first robotics attempts in mid-80s, and now we have applications such as the Roomba vacuum-cleaner, and a fully automated racing car. Prof. Kenneth Salisbury showed how there are robots today with great motor skills-i.e., they can unload a dishwasher!

How To Secure Your Wireless Broadband

Wireless broadband is fast becoming the most popular way to connect to the internet. With most broadband providers now offering packages that include a free wireless router or one at discounted price, and most laptops now come with an integrated wireless receiver. This makes the ideal opportunity to take advantage of wireless broadband.

Wireless broadband works by your router sending a signal throughout your house and beyond; it doesn’t just stop at where your laptop is. With an indoor range of around 30-45 metres, this signal may be picked up by your neighbour too, allowing them to benefit from your broadband.

Energy Crisis Or Political Profiteering?

This article is an energy review and update, as well as a critique of US and Western energy policies, or a lack thereof. This is not about Eastern energy policies because they will follow our political and market leads in dealing with a necessary and long overdue shift out of the archaic energy infrastructures that have been perpetuated for corporate profits and political profiteering.
